Clan

A Clan (sometimes (but rarely) called a Guild) is a group of players who do different activities together such as Clan Wars, Player-killing (Pking), quests, training skills, and merchandising . Clans are also an internet community for players to interact with. Some players like to form Unions which are 2 or more clans joined together. Most clans, before the December update, killed players in the Wilderness; however, that is no longer possible on non PVP worlds.
Some clans have uniforms so that they can look alike and they can find each other more easily. A popular option is making sure every clan member has the same Team Cape so they can be easily recognized by other members. Clans usually have a set of rules or codes that the clan must follow. Clans can also have their own website.
Before the Clan Chat feature, players were usually asked to join, but they couldn't talk within their clan. Now with clan chat, players can talk to each other from different regions of RuneScape or even different servers.
Clans often use the forums to recruit players, and discuss events.
